ARC Director, Dr. Margot Kushel receives UCSF School of Medicine's Highest Award
Dr. Margot Kushel was presented today with the Lloyd Holly Smith Award for Exceptional Service to the UCSF School of Medicine.
The Holly Smith Award is the school's most prestigious honor, recognizing exceptional service to the School of Medicine and providing an opportunity to celebrate colleagues who embody the qualities and contributions exemplified by Holly Smith, MD, professor emeritus and former associate dean, who passed away in June 2018.
As an innovator, leader, and mentor, we appreciate Margot’s indefatigable dedication to impactful research and commitment to social justice through science and beyond. Dr. Kushel is Professor of Medicine, Division Chief of the UCSF Division for Health Equity and Society, Director of the UCSF Action Research Center for Health Equity, and Director of the UCSF Benioff Homelessness and Housing Initiative.
